Caprese Pizza

Ingredients
- 12″ HRI Classic Cheese Pizza
- 1 medium tomato, vine-ripe, heirloom, or beefsteak
- 10-12 basil leaves
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella
- 2 tbsp balsamic reduction, store-bought or homemade
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 450˚F
- Remove pizza from all packaging
- Slice the mozzarella and tomatoes into thin disks. Roll the basil leaves together, and slice into fine strips (chiffonade).Note: for extra juicy tomatoes, pat the tomato slices lightly with a paper towel to remove excess moisture before arranging them on your pizza
- Arrange the tomatoes and mozzarella slices evenly over the pizza.
- Bake directly on the oven rack for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown, and the mozzarella is melted
- Just before serving, drizzle the pizza with balsamic reduction, and sprinkle with the basil strips
- Cut into squares, and enjoy 🙂
